Coast lots are busy around the clock
Casino and hotel lots never really close. Guests arrive at all hours, shuttles and valet lanes cut through, and buses need room to turn. Clear drive lanes, arrows, crosswalks and crosshatched no-parking areas keep that traffic sorted. Because the lot is always in use, striping is usually done in sections so part of it stays open. We plan that with you.
The rest of the Coast has its own mix. The Port of Gulfport and the warehouses near it need truck courts, trailer stalls, floor lane lines and yellow safety lines along docks. Hospitals and clinics need accessible stalls close to every entrance. Churches, schools, apartments and the shopping centers along US 49 and US 90 need readable, everyday layouts.

Salt air, sun and storms
Coastal lots wear harder than inland ones. Strong sun fades paint, sand blowing off the beach scuffs it, and heavy rain from summer storms and tropical systems floods low spots. After a big storm, debris and standing water can strip lines and break pavement edges. Many owners sealcoat and restripe on a tighter schedule here than they would up north.
Sealcoat covers all the old lines, so the whole layout gets marked again. We paint after the sealer has cured. If there are broken spots or potholes where lines will go, we can do minor concrete and asphalt repair first. A restripe is also a good time to fix stall counts, ADA spaces and traffic flow that have drifted over the years.
Local codes, ADA and fire lanes
Gulfport's zoning code, as posted online, says parking spaces must be at least 9 feet wide and 18 feet long, and all required spaces and their access must be paved with concrete or asphalt. Biloxi has its own Land Development Ordinance. Codes change, so check with each city's planning office before you redraw a layout.
On ADA, the Department of Justice says a business that restripes must provide accessible spaces as required by the 2010 ADA Standards. For fire lanes, Mississippi's State Fire Marshal adopted the 2024 International Fire Code as of July 1, 2024, and cities can enforce their own code if it is at least as strict. Ask the Gulfport or Biloxi fire department about fire lane marking.
