River bottoms and hunting ground
Leflore County shares two big state hunting areas. Malmaison WMA reaches into Grenada, Carroll and Leflore counties, and Sky Lake WMA is in Humphreys and Leflore. Private land around them is hunted hard too. B&M cuts lanes and trails through woods wide enough for a truck and trailer, so you can get to a stand or blind without tearing up the place. We can also open shooting lanes or clear a field.
Not every tract needs to be cleared flat. Select clearing takes out the brush and the trees you do not want and leaves the good ones standing. When a tract does need to come down, we clear it out of thick timber and push the timber up in windrows. We dig ponds and dirt pits with an excavator and dump truck, and build pads for camps and shops with hauled-in fill.

Lots and plants in Greenwood
Greenwood has plant lots, office lots, schools, churches, stores along US 82 and US 49, and the university nearby in Itta Bena. Straight Line Services stripes new or sealed asphalt and draws up new traffic layouts for lots of all sizes. We mark fire lanes and no-parking zones, and we can handle minor concrete and asphalt repair first so the lot is ready for paint.
Inside a plant, we stripe warehouse floors with lane and bay lines on concrete and paint yellow safety lines along walkways. Outside, ADA rules set the accessible count by lot size, and at least one of every six accessible spaces has to be van accessible. A van space can be 132 inches wide with a 60-inch aisle, or 96 inches wide with a 96-inch aisle.
Permits in Greenwood
The City of Greenwood's Community Development department issues building and sign permits, inspects residential and commercial work, and handles zoning. It also works with the Planning Commission and the Historic Preservation Commission, which matters for older parts of town. If your project is inside city limits, start there. Outside town, check with Leflore County.
Mississippi law requires notifying 811 before excavation. Jobs that disturb 1 acre or more fall under MDEQ construction stormwater rules, with one permit for 1 to less than 5 acres and another for 5 acres or more. If you plan to burn clearing debris, check local ordinances, MDEQ guidelines and any burn ban first.
