Parking lots in Moorhead
A college campus has a lot of parking and a lot of people walking through it. Lots like MDCC's need clear stalls, arrows that make sense and accessible parking close to the buildings it serves. Moorhead also has Moorhead Central School, the James C. Rosser Early Learning Center, churches and businesses along US 82. Straight Line Services stripes new or sealed asphalt and draws up new traffic layouts.
For ADA parking, count the spaces in each lot. A lot with 76 to 100 spaces needs at least four accessible spaces, 101 to 150 needs five, and so on. At least one of every six accessible spaces must be van accessible. Accessible spaces and aisles can slope no more than 1:48 in any direction. We also stripe fire lanes, no-parking zones and safety lines.

Land work around Moorhead
Moorhead sits about 115 feet above sea level on flat Delta ground. Water does not run off flat clay on its own, so pads and yards have to be built and graded on purpose. We haul in fill dirt, spread it and shape it for house and shop pads. Yards get graded with a laser level so the fall runs away from the house. Grading and drainage work keeps water off drives and buildings.
Out in the county, B&M clears lots and tracts out of thick timber and pushes it into windrows, or select clears to keep the good trees. We cut lanes and trails wide enough for a truck and trailer. We dig ponds and dirt pits with an excavator and dump truck on site, and grade building sites and arenas with a track loader.
Permits and paperwork
For projects inside Moorhead city limits, check with Moorhead City Hall about permits. Outside town, check with Sunflower County in Indianola. If your lot work is on a campus, school or other public property, the owner usually has its own process too. We can talk through what to ask before we start.
Mississippi law requires notifying 811 before excavation, so buried lines get marked first. Any job that disturbs 1 acre or more of ground falls under MDEQ construction stormwater rules. If clearing debris will be burned, check local ordinances, MDEQ open burning guidelines and whether the county has a burn ban on.
