Shreveport lots we stripe
The medical lots are some of the busiest in town. LSU Health Shreveport and the hospitals and clinics around it have garages and surface lots with heavy daily traffic and a lot of accessible parking. LSU Shreveport and other campuses have student and staff lots. Along the Red River, the casino and hotel lots in Shreveport and Bossier City run around the clock, so clear stalls, arrows and fire lanes matter when the lot is full.
Shreveport also has plenty of shopping centers, restaurants and big box stores, along with churches, schools and apartment complexes. Industrial and warehouse buildings around the city often need floor striping inside, with lane and bay lines and yellow safety lines along walkways. Whether the lot needs the old layout painted fresh or a whole new traffic plan, we can lay it out and stripe it.

Heat, storms and worn lines
Northwest Louisiana gets long, hot summers and strong storms. Heat and sun fade paint and soften asphalt, and heavy rain carries grit across the lot that grinds lines down. The worst wear is at entrances, turns and drive lanes. Lots that run all day and night, like hotel and casino lots, wear out faster because there is no quiet time when the pavement rests.
We plan striping around dry weather so the paint has time to set. On busy lots we can talk through doing the work in sections so part of the lot stays open. If there are potholes or broken edges along the lines, we can do minor asphalt and concrete repair first, so new lines are not painted over spots that are about to fail.
Louisiana fire code and ADA in Shreveport
Louisiana law names a State Uniform Fire Prevention Code, either NFPA 1 or the International Fire Code, and the Office of State Fire Marshal's rules list NFPA 1 and NFPA 101, the Life Safety Code. Both families of codes call for fire department access roads to be kept clear, and the fire official can require fire lane markings and signs. Check with the Shreveport Fire Department or the state fire marshal on what your site needs.
Accessible parking follows the federal 2010 ADA Standards. Each accessible stall needs a marked access aisle at least 60 inches wide, and at least one of every six accessible stalls must be van accessible. Signs go at least 60 inches high to the bottom edge. We lay out the stalls, paint the symbol and stripe the aisle so it reads clearly.
